Cartoonist John Elson has a laugh at the expense of Suffolk's roads

While most of us complain about roadworks, Bury Free Press cartoonist John Elson can see the lighter side.

Three months of overnight closures on the A14 will have many tearing their hair out, but John's take on the story will raise a smile.

Perhaps he'll have a different view after a few months of diversions.

John, a self-taught artist, has been drawing cartoons for newspapers for nearly 20 years.

He draws the cartoons digitally using a stylus and large art tablet.

He also attends festivals, weddings and corporate events drawing live caricatures.
