Cartoonist John Elson casts his eye over the week's news

Bury Free Press cartoonist John Elson has had his eye on the weather and spotted a down side to the recent sunshine . . .

The warmth has prompted a seasonal wardrobe change for many - with a bit more flesh exposed.

And, of course, John has his own take on this.

John, a self-taught artist, has been drawing cartoons for newspapers for nearly 20 years.

He draws the cartoons digitally using a stylus and large art tablet. His cartoon today is sponsored by specialist insurers The Assist Group

He also attends festivals, weddings and corporate events drawing live caricatures.
