Cartoonist John Elson casts his eye over the week's news

Bury Free Press cartoonist John Elson has this week picked up on a local success story.

The Duck and Teapot café opened at Needham Lake to much acclaim and has had a very busy start.

John, a self-taught artist, has been drawing cartoons for newspapers for nearly 20 years.

He draws the cartoons digitally using a stylus and large art tablet. His cartoon today is sponsored by specialist insurers The Assist Group.

John also attends festivals, weddings and corporate events drawing live caricatures.
