Cartoonist John Elson casts his eye over the week's news
Newspaper headlines don't always deliver good news, but that doesn't stop Bury Free Press cartoonist John Elson looking for something to lift the gloom.
This week, John's eye fell on the rail strikes, which disrupted the travel plans of many.
Hopefully, his cartoon will help to raise a smile.
John, a self-taught artist, has been drawing cartoons for newspapers for nearly 20 years.
He draws the cartoons digitally using a stylus and large art tablet. His cartoon today is sponsored by specialist insurers The Assist Group.
He also attends festivals, weddings and corporate events drawing live caricatures.
Visit John's Facebook page to see more of his work.
Or look out for his cartoon in next week's Bury Free Press.
