Cartoonist John Elson casts his eye over the week's news
Bury Free Press cartoonist John Elson chose an explosive subject for his drawing this week.
John's eye was caught by the headline on a story about a mortar device being found at a nature reserve.
And John, of course, was able to put his own spin on it.
John, a self-taught artist, has been drawing cartoons for newspapers for nearly 20 years.
He draws the cartoons digitally using a stylus and large art tablet. His cartoon today is sponsored by specialist insurers The Assist Group.
He also attends festivals, weddings and corporate events drawing live caricatures.
Or catch up with his cartoon first in the Bury Free Press every Friday.
