Hundreds of homes in Suffolk without power following Storm Henk including areas near Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds, Honington and Wickham Market




Hundreds of homes across Suffolk remain without power following Storm Henk.

UK Power Networks engineers are working to fix the issue after heavy winds brought down trees onto power cables.

Many affected will not have power restored until later on this afternoon.

Here are the areas still impacted by power cuts, according to UK Power Networks’ incident map:

Hadleigh:

Around 310 homes in the IP7 5 and IP8 3 have been left without electricity due to engineers carrying out repairs to low hanging overhead lines.

The incident, with reference number INCD-416748-Z, was first reported at 7.30am with an estimated time for power to be restored between 1pm and 2pm today.

Sudbury

Around 26 homes in the CO10 7 (Ballingdon estate) have been affected by an overhead electricity line fault.

The incident, with reference number INCD-416694-Z, was first reported earlier this morning at 2.43am .

An estimated time for power to be restored is between 8:30am and 9:30am this morning.

Long Melford

Two properties in Bull Lane, between Long Melford and Acton, have been left without power, with the incident first reported at 4.31am.

A fault has occurred to a piece of electrical equipment.

It is yet to be confirmed when the incident, with the number INCD-416710-Z, will be fully fixed.

Clare

Homes in the CO10 7 and CO9 3 area, near Clare, have been affected by a high voltage overhead electricity line fault.

A yet to be confirmed number of homes have been affected.

The power cut, with a reference number of INCD-416692-Z, was first reported at 2.28pm.

The estimated time for power to be restored is between 4.30pm and 5.30pm today.

Bury St Edmunds

Around 18 homes in the IP29 5 have been affected by a high voltage overhear electricity line fault.

First reported yesterday evening, with a reference number INCD-416452-Z, has an estimated restoration time between 4.30pm and 5.30pm this afternoon.

Honington

Homes in the IP24 2 area, near Honington, have been affected by an overhead electricity line fault.

With incident number INCD-416718-Z, the fault was first reported at 4:57am this morning and is set to be fixed around midday and 1pm today.

It is unknown how many homes have been affected.

Wickham Market

Around 14 homes in the IP13 0 have been affected by a high voltage overhead electricity line fault.

First reported yesterday evening, at 6.43pm, with reference number INCD-416474-Z, has an estimated restoration time between 4.30pm and 5.30pm today.
