Hundreds of Bury St Edmunds school pupils self-isolating after staff test positive for coronavirus
About half of the pupils at a Bury St Edmunds school are self-isolating after two staff members tested positive for coronavirus.
Seven of the eight Key Stage 2 classes at St Edmund's Catholic Primary School, in Westgate Street, are isolating and are due to return next week.
It includes about 200 children and six staff.
Executive headteacher Maria Kemble said: "Having spoken to the local authority and Public Health England, we are acting on their advice to keep everyone safe."
The school will undergo a deep clean and pupils will be taught at home using Google Classroom.
