Chris Wiley, co-ordinator for Bury in Bloom and owner of Sustainable Plant Store, wins best title for his business

A community figure has been celebrating after gaining national recognition for his business – and receiving his first award since launching three years ago.

Chris Wiley, Bury in Bloom co-ordinator and owner of Sustainable Plant Store, took home an award for his business last month.

His online shop, which sells sustainably grown plants and garden products, was crowned Best Sustainable Plant Supplier in East Anglia at the SME News Awards.

Now in their eighth year – the awards shine a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of businesses across the country.

Chris, who also strives to ensure that Bury in Bloom takes a sustainable approach, said: “I am delighted.

“I don’t like entering myself for awards – someone else nominated me – but it feels good to be recognised.”
