Paramedic seeks help to find stolen BMW from Raynham Road, Bury St Edmunds
A paramedic is seeking help from the public after his car was stolen in the early hours.
Jim Graves woke up at around 6.15am today only to find his blue BMW 5 Series was missing from outside his home in Raynham Road, Bury St Edmunds.
His first responder bag and a defibrillator were in the vehicle, leaving him unable to work today due to the theft.
“I looked out the window and it was gone,” Jim said.
"With the roadworks going on at the minute, I walked up and down the street to see if one of the workers had moved it or something — but no, it just wasn’t there."
“Sure, its a BMW, but it’s not like a top-spec car or anything like that.
“It’s just the usual story — there’s not a lot of evidence, so there’s not a lot the police are able to do.”
“It’s just the last thing I thought I’d wake up to today.”
Having lived in Raynham Road for nearly nine years, Jim said the car was last seen when his friend left his house around 10pm yesterday.
After checking his and his neighbour’s Ring doorbell cameras, he has found no usable footage of the incident so far.
Jim, who works as a paramedic at a GP surgery in Mildenhall, now faces disruptions to his schedule as he navigates the theft's impact on his work plans.
He is hoping that people in Suffolk may spot the car and report any sightings to Suffolk Police if seen.
The registration of the vehicle is SF17 JTG and if you have any information about the incident, please contact the police quoting reference 37/61986/24.
