Wooster’s Bakery in Bury St Edmunds praised by Nigella Lawson for ‘best malt loaf ever’

Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson has taken to social media to praise the ‘best malt loaf ever’ from a Suffolk bakery.

The TV chef and food writer posted to Instagram sharing a plate of malt loaf from Wooster’s Bakery, which has shops in Bury St Edmunds and Bardwell.

The bakery was named of the best in the country by The Times and Nigella said the sweet, chewy bread was even better than she remembered.

She said: “The malt loaf from Wooster’s Bakery is quite simply the best malt loaf I have ever eaten.

“I’m in heaven, best malt loaf ever.”

The bread was topped with cultured butter from another Suffolk business – Fen Farm Dairy based in Bungay and Eye.

Nigella shared both businesses’ products with her three million Instagram followers.
