Inquest: Stowmarket skateboarder Luke Jarvis took friend's medication after drinking at pub




A Stowmarket skateboarder died after taking a friend's medication following drinking at a pub, an inquest heard.

Luke Jarvis, 25, of Poplar Hill, who skateboarded at a professional level, was found dead on December 16, 2016 at an address in Verneiule Avenue, Stowmarket.

The inquest on Monday at Suffolk Coroner's Court, in Ipswich, heard that on the previous evening, Mr Jarvis had been drinking at The Oak pub. He returned to the home of a friend and taken prescription painkillers and methadone.

A post mortem found his body contained enough alcohol to be capable of inducing a coma and a potentially lethal level of medication.

Suffolk Coroner Nigel Parsley, recording a conclusion of drug related death, described the death of Mr Jarvis as 'tragic'.
