Investigation into attack at Natterer's Wood in Bury St Edmunds filed pending new 'investigative opportunities'

LEARN MOREAn investigation into an attack in Bury St Edmunds which saw a runner slashed across the face has been filed pending new evidence.
Emergency services were called to the Natterer's Wood area, near Mount Road, on January 3 earlier this year after reports a man had been assaulted.
A 28-year-old man was out running when he was slashed across the face by a man walking a dog.
He suffered a cut above his eye, which needed hospital treatment.
Despite numerous lines of inquiries, including house-to-house checks, the attacker remains unknown.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Constabulary today said: "All proportionate enquiries have been conducted and the case has been filed pending any further investigative opportunities coming light.”
The attacker was described as 5ft 10in tall, wearing a light blue hooded top, black jeans or jogging bottoms, black woollen gloves and a black snood which covered his mouth and nose.
