Only Fools and Horses replica of Regal Reliant spotted in Bury St Edmunds town centre

An iconic vehicle from a well-known British TV show was spotted in Bury St Edmunds town centre today.

A replica of the yellow Reliant Regal seen in Only Fools and Horses was parked outside Bury Car Sales on St Andrew’s Street North.

Proud owner Daniel Bird, who runs the car sales, bought the replica for several thousands in June and uses it as a marketing tool.

“It gets loads of attention,” he said.

“There’s 20/25 people every day that come over to have their photo taken or have a conversation about it.

“We’re a bit Only Fools and Horses obsessed in here.”

Daniel, 41, of Bury, has loved the show for a long time and has more memorabilia and signed pieces at home.

He hopes to get David Jason, who plays Del Boy, to sign the car.

On why he loves the show, he said: “It’s one of those programmes you can put on and laugh time and time again. You never get bored of watching the same episodes.”

The car has a suitcase to go on the top.
