Thousands flock to opening of Oliver Bonas at the arc Shopping Centre, Bury St Edmunds

More than three thousand customers flocked to the opening of a luxury brand retailer in Bury St Edmunds.

Oliver Bonas, which specialises in fashion, jewellery, homeware and furniture, welcomed customers to its first Suffolk store at the arc Shopping Centre this morning.

The store opened in the remaining vacant unit created from the former Topshop Topman, which was converted into two shops, with the other now being occupied by Phase Eight.

“It’s something so different to what we already have here, so it’s exciting that we can bring that to the town and offer gifts, homeware and fashion in a little mini department store.”

Oliver Bonas will be hosting a launch event next Saturday, where the first 200 customers will receive a scratch card and the chance to win a prize.

A DJ will be entertaining customers in store between 12-4pm.

The Bury store is the company’s 86th shop, which employs 14 people.
