Ticket sales go live for Bury St Edmunds fireworks evening at Abbey Gardens in support of St Nicholas Hospice Care

Further details have been released about the new fireworks event that is taking place in Bury St Edmunds’ Abbey Gardens next month.

The evening on November 1 has been organised by event partners St Edmundsbury Theatre Services and St Nicholas Hospice Care, with support from Bury St Edmunds Town Council.

The hospice has published information on its website about the event including timings, ticket pricing and additional entertainment.

The hospice said: “Join us for a magical evening under the stars! Experience the wonder of spectacular fireworks lighting up the historic skies above Bury St Edmunds’ Abbey Gardens, all in support of St Nicholas Hospice Care.”

On the night, gates (at the Abbey Gate) will open at 5pm, with the fireworks display scheduled for 7.30pm. The event closes at 9pm.

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £5 for children, while a family ticket (up to two adults and two children) costs £20. There is also a booking fee.

The cost on the gate is £10 per ticket. However, purchasing in advance is recommended to guarantee entry as numbers are limited.

The evening will feature:

♦ a fireworks display set to music;

♦ food and drink stalls;

♦ family-friendly entertainment and activities, including fairground rides;

♦ music from Stagecoach Bury St Edmunds and Slim Pickin’s Live & Seated.

An Abbey Gardens fireworks event is returning to Bury thanks to businessman Marcus Eustace, owner of St Edmundsbury Theatre Services, who wants to leave a ‘legacy’ for the town and community.
