A large fire service presence has been spotted in Bury St Edmunds tonight.

Suffolk Fire Service logged 11 units, from Long Melford, Haverhill, Wickhambrook, Bury St Edmunds, Ixworth, Mildenhall and Newmarket were called out at 7.18am.

Believed to be the British Sugar site in Hollow Road, pictures and footage of some of the units at the scene have been sent in to the Bury Free Press.

A fire service spokesperson confirmed units were in the area, but did not give any more information on the exact location, saying that more information would be sent out in due course.

The Suffolk Fire incidents log states the stop time of the incident was 8.34pm, but no units have been stood down as yet.
