Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre remains open with enhanced cleaning regimes

Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, in Stowmarket, is remaining open during 'this challenging time', operators Everyone Active confirmed today.

In an email to members, it said: "Staying healthy has never been so important and we’d like to assure our customers that we are working tirelessly to ensure our leisure centres remain open and are supporting customers as much as possible. Our colleagues are on-hand to help you keep active during this challenging time."

Cleaning regimes have been increased in line with latest guidance from Public Health England, but the centre is asking customers to help by using anti-bacterial sprays and paper towels in gym areas to wipe down equipment before and after use.

The centre is also reassuring customers it is safe to continue swimming.

"Advice from PWTAG (Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group) shows that the water and chlorine within the swimming pools will help to kill the virus. Therefore, if your child is able to attend swimming lessons, we would invite you to continue with them."
