Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre seeks boost to weekday swimming sessions

A leisure centre has launched a ‘use it or lose it’ campaign to encourage people to book weekday pirate pool sessions.

Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre is trying to increase leisure pool bookings for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6pm.

A spokesperson for Abbeycroft Leisure, which runs the centre, confirmed this does not in any way affect swimming lessons.

They added: “These were simply additional time slots we added to the programme, over and above the normal availability, to try and see if there was a demand for them.”

If there isn’t the demand, they will return to normal capacity, the spokesperson said.
