LOCAL ELECTION RESULTS: Breckland Council and Thetford Town Council
At the end of the the counts for Breckland Council, the Conservatives still hold a vast majority with 37 seats, Labour next with six, four seats forIndependent candidates and two new seats for the Green Party making up the rest.
Thetford Boudica saw Mark Robinson (Con) keeping his seat, joined by Stuart Terry (Lab), whereas in Thetford Burrell, Terry Jermy (Lab) kept his seat and is joined by his party colleague Chris Harvey.
Thetford Priory ward will be an all Labour affair this term as well, with Mike Brindle returning and Susan Dowling taking the other place.
Thetford Castle, which had a vacant seat after the death of UKIP councillor John Newton, saw councillors Roy Brame (Con) and Jane James (Con) take the seats for the ward.
For All Saints and Wayland, Philip Cowen (Con) secured his seat again with Sarah Suggitt (Con) joining him, replacing fellow Conservative, William Smith.
Samuel Chapman-Allen (Con) kept his seat for Forest and Robert Kybird (Con), who had a seat previously for Harling and Heathlands, took the other, it was also no change for the Guiltcross ward, with Marion Chapman-Allen (Con) remaining in her seat.
The first Thetford Town Council results saw Jenny Hollis (Independent) taking the Anne Bartholomew seat and Mike Brindle (Lab), Brenda Canham (Independent) and Mark Taylor (UKIP) retaking their seats for the Priory ward.
This was followed by the results of Castle ward, seeing Roy Brame (Con), Jane James (Con) and Stuart Wright (Independent) maintaining their seats with the addition of Janice Butler (Independent).
For Burrell ward, Denis Crawford (UKIP) with Chris Harvey and Terry Jermy (Lab) kept their seats and Carla Barreto (Independent) took the fourth.
The seat for Vicarage Road ward was uncontested, so Colin Burnett Con) returns to the council.
Finally, for Boudica ward, which has three seats, Mark Robinson (Con) and David Hodgkinson (Labour) were uncontested and elected, with the final seat currently vacant.
This means the town council consists of five Independent councillors, four from Labour and the Conservatives, two from UKIP and the vacant seat.
