Bury St Edmunds Nostalgia - Young boy and his golden retriever scoop premiere award at Corn Exchange pet show

In today's nostalgia we transport back to 1952 when a boy and his dog scooped the top award at a town pet show.
Andrew Catton and dog Koris 'stole the show' at the Corn Exchange in Bury St Edmunds winning the premiere award.
Back at home they were looking forward to travelling to London to compete in Our Dumb Friend's League national competitions.
Pedigrees would not count at these shows, instead intelligent mongrels would have a chance at winning.
Koris, however, was a beautiful golden retriever.
