Lorry carrying massive Christmas tree stopped in A14 near Bury St Edmunds for four motoring offences

A lorry driver carrying a massive Christmas tree has been handed four motoring offences after being stopped on a major route.

Suffolk police stopped the vehicle in the A14 near Bury St Edmunds.

Officers said the driver had no movement order for transporting abnormal loads, its marker boards were not used correctly, and the lorry was running during rush hour.

They had also allegedly driven 93 hours in the past fortnight, earning them a tachograph offence.

The Christmas tree was nearly 4 metres wide.
