Bury St Edmunds crash on A14 sees major road closure from junction 43 to 44




The A14 was closed in both directions following a serious crash this morning.

Suffolk Police closed the road at around 2.30am between junction 43 and 44 in Bury St Edmunds following an incident involving a heavy goods vehicle.

The road has now reopened after being closed for some time while officers conducted an investigation.

Motorists were being advised to follow the diversion route below:

- Exit the A14 at J44 Moreton Hall, take the first exit and continue on the A134 to the roundabout with the A1302

- At the roundabout take the second exit and continue on the A1302 through Bury St Edmunds to the A1302/A143/A1101 roundabout

- Take the second exit onto the A143 and re-join the A14 westbound at J43 St Saviours.
