A134 between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury reopens after truck rolls onto its side




A major route between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury was blocked after a truck rolled onto its side.

Suffolk Police were alerted to the incident on the A134 near Cockfield at about 6.30am.

The road was closed between the A1141 and Lawshall Green turn off while the vehicle is recovered.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and the East of England Ambulance Service also attended.

In a Sudbury Police tweet at 12.46pm, a spokesman said the truck was 'in the process of being recovered from the field'.

An ambulance spokesman said: "We sent an ambulance and ambulance officer.

"Crews treated a male patient at the scene before transporting him to West Suffolk Hospital for further assessment and care."

The road reopened at 4.19pm.
