SuffolkNews Podcast: A14 near Newmarket reopens following two-vehicle crash
On today's podcast, traffic is moving again on a major route outside a Suffolk village after a two-vehicle crash this morning caused delays.
Police were called at 7.30am to the incident on the A14 westbound between junction 39 and junction 38 outside Kentford and Needham Street, near Newmarket.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said officers were at the scene with three fire engines in attendance, including one from Newmarket and two from Bury St Edmunds.

Also, a protest by families who believe they have been “failed” by Suffolk’s special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system took place outside the county council’s offices.
The action was hosted outside Ipswich’s Endeavour House by Failed By Suffolk, a group of parents of children with SEND that formed during the pandemic.
Toni Wasag, one of the protest organisers, said: “My 13-year-old daughter came to the protest with me. She has been struggling with school for the last four years and has been ignored.”

And finally, from the owner of EXCELR8 motorsport, to a referee who travels the world – reporter Suzanne Day has met the Suffolk women breaking through boundaries in their field.
One of the women Suzanne spoke to was mum-to-be Kerry Newton, who is a familiar face to many in a Suffolk village after working at Thurston Butchers for the past four years.
Kerry, who is due to give birth in April, started out as a chef before applying for a job at the busy butchers.
However when she applied to work at the shop, she didn't think she would get the job, 'because she was a woman'.
Since then Kerry not only got the job, she now manages the shop and was chosen as part of a nationwide search to find Britain's best butchers.
