A man has been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison after changing his plea to admit two counts of assaulting police officers.
Ayden Devine, 28, of no fixed abode, Bury St Edmunds, headbutted one officer in the face and bit the other on the arm inside West Suffolk Hospital - where he had been taken on Tuesday, April 6.
He will also pay £100 in compensation. The police took him to hospital after arresting him in town. They re-arrested him after the assaults.
He initially denied the offences in Suffolk Remand Court. But changed his plea after returning to the same court yesterday.
