Man, 35, admits damaging security gate in Bury St Edmunds town centre




A 35-year-old man has pleaded guilty to causing damage in Bury St Edmunds town centre.

William Jermyn, of Saltsman Road, Rougham, appeared at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court, in Ipswich, on July 2 charged with criminal damage to a security gate in Prospect Row, which runs beside arc shopping centre.

The damage was to property valued under £5,000.

Jermyn, who was not represented in court, admitted the offence and is due to appear back at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on August 19.

He has a bail condition not to enter or go within Bury St Edmunds town centre for any reason.
