Man arrested in Bury St Edmunds on suspicion of false imprisonment and abduction of 15-year-old girl




A man was arrested in Bury St Edmunds on suspicion of the false imprisonment and abduction of a 15-year-old girl.

The arrest followed intelligence from the Metropolitan Police.

On Tuesday, January 14, Suffolk Police arrested two people at a property on Forum Court, Bury St Edmunds.

A 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, suspicion of false imprisonment and suspicion of abduction.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released on police bail to answer on February 10 pending further enquiries.

The 15-year-old girl was also arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and possession with intent to supply.

She was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released under investigation.
