Man claims woman damaged his car in Bury St Edmunds




A driver was stopped by a man falsely claiming she damaged his car in Bury St Edmunds as police urge members of the public to be wary.

A woman was driving in Tollgate Lane yesterday at around 2.30pm when she was stopped by a man driving a burgundy coloured car who claimed she had damaged one of his wing mirrors and demanded immediate payment.

The fraudster is described as a white man, 25-30 years old, around 5ft 8in tall, well-built and with dark brown hair.

There was also a woman in the car described as around the same age with dark blonde hair.
