Man in 30s dies after serious crash on A14 between Woolpit and Haughley involving Audi A3 and parked lorry
A man in his 30s has died after a serious crash on the A14 in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision between Haughley and Woolpit involving a white Audi A3 and a lorry parked in a layby at about 1.30am.
The 39-year-old driver of the car was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he later died.
The A14 westbound was closed at the Beacon Hill junction with the A140 for several hours, reopening at about 9.30am.
Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward or any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident to review dashcam footage.
