Elmswell man jailed for driving while disqualified




A man from Elmswell has been jailed for eight weeks for driving whilst disqualified.

David Sheldrake, 32, of Hall Lane, Elmswell, was sentenced at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday October 22.

Sheldrake was stopped the morning before on Hall Lane following information received from the public about him driving a vehicle whilst disqualified.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police investigation centre for questioning.

He was subsequently charged with driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

At Ipswich Magistrates Court, he pleaded guilty to both counts and he was also disqualified from driving for 16 months.
