Brandon man left with serious injuries following hit and run incident

A man has been left lying in a road with a serious head injury by a hit and run driver in Brandon.

Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses and information on the incident after the man in his 50s was found in Thetford Road, close to Knappers Way at around 11.30pm on July 23.

It is believed that he was hit by a car which did not stop.

He got up but fell again outside a nearby house and was later taken to Addenbrookes Hospital suffering from a brain bleed and a broken wrist.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any dashcam or doorbell footage covering the period between 11.25pm and 11.50pm is asked to contact Suffolk Police, by calling 101, filling out a report form or emailing ccc@suffolk.pnn.police.uk, quoting CAD reference 28072022 – 163.
