A single vehicle crash in Lynford at the weekend put a man in hospital with serious injuries.

A red VW Fox was travelling along the A134 towards Mundford at approximately 4.15pm on Sunday when it left the road and collided with a tree.

A volunteer critical care paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) worked with the East Anglian Air Ambulance and paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service to treat the man at the scene.

But due to serious leg injuries, he was sedated and airlifted to hospital.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the collision, should contact PC Chris Curtis at Swaffham Road Policing on 101.
