Bury St Edmunds man Piotr Prasalek pleads guilty to blackmailing woman but denies filming her in West Suffolk Hospital toilet
A Bury St Edmunds man has pleaded guilty to blackmailing a woman but denied filming her in a toilet at West Suffolk Hospital in the town.
Piotr Prasalek, 35, of Pemberton Walk, appearing at Ipswich Crown Court earlier today, pleaded guilty to blackmail by making an unwarranted demand of £1,000 from a woman on social media, but pleaded not guilty to a charge of voyeurism relating to allegedly filming her in a toilet at the hospital in Bury.
The voyeurism charge was left on file and the case will proceed without a trial.
Prasalek will next appear at Ipswich Crown Court on June 10 where he will either be sentenced, or later if there is a need for a pre-sentence report.
Prasalek, who appeared via prison video link, was remanded in custody.
