Man suspected of drink-driving and travelling wrong way on A14 at Rougham released on bail




A man who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drink-driving, after a car was seen to be travelling the wrong way on the A14 in Suffolk , has been released on police bail.

Officers were called to the A14 at Rougham at about 11pm on Sunday to reports a Ford Focus was travelling westbound on the eastbound carriageway.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said they stopped the vehicle and arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of dangerous driving and drink-driving.

He was taken into custody and questioned, but has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
