Man taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in serious condition after two-vehicle crash on A14 near Bury St Edmunds, between Beyton and Rougham




A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition following a two-vehicle crash on the A14.

Police were called at 6.17pm yesterday to the incident on the westbound carriageway between junction 46 at Beyton and 45 at Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds.

Three fire engines were also called to the scene.

One person was trapped in their vehicle, with crews using cutting gear to remove the individual.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said a man was transported by road to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a serious condition for treatment.

An ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle and a response car from the East Anglian Air Ambulance were all sent to the scene.
