JM Finn in Bury St Edmunds Abbeygate Street announces new head of branch following a retirement
A management firm has announced the new head of its Bury St Edmunds branch following a retirement.
Jonathan Goldring will replace Brett Bayliss as the head of JM Finn, which is based in Abbeygate Street.
Mr Bayliss retired from the company in 2022, some 16 years after he joined as a member of the management committee and head of branches.
Mr Goldring, who will take on his role, is an investment director who began his career in finance 32 years ago at Smith & Williamson.
He went on to work as a fund manager at Kleinwort Benson and later joined CCLA, the largest charity focused fund manager in the UK, running North American equities across various mandates.
He too joined JM Finn 16 years ago after a desire to leave London saw him move to the region.
A keen skier and follower of rugby, Mr Goldring will be supported by Pamela Davies who has been at the firm for five years as a portfolio risk analyst.
Ms Davies, who previously spent seven years at Cazenove as an equity analyst, will assume the role of Deputy Head of the branch.
Hugo Bedford, CEO of JM Finn said Mr Bayliss' calm and considered approach to management will be missed.
"We wish him a happy retirement and all the very best for the years ahead," said Mr Bedford.
"I look forward to working more closely with Jonathan and Pamela in their new roles as we work hard to continue delivering quality investment and wealth management services for our clients.”
