Bury St Edmunds man Andrew Allen charged with manslaughter after death of Scott Lisney following attack at St Olaves Precinct




A 54-year-old has been charged with manslaughter after a man’s death following an attack on a Bury St Edmunds estate.

Andrew Allen, of Severn Road, Bury St Edmunds, appeared before Peterborough Crown Court today, accused of grievous bodily harm.

During the hearing, he was also charged with manslaughter before being remanded in custody ahead of another hearing at the same court tomorrow.

Scott Lisney, 56, of Bury St Edmunds, was left in a critical condition after he was attacked at the St Olaves shopping precinct, on the Howard Estate, on July 26.

SuffolkNews reported four days later that Mr Lisney died at West Suffolk Hospital.

Family paid tribute to Mr Lisney on July 31.

An inquest will take place in due course.
