Bury St Edmunds firm The Handy Marketing Company takes home UK Social Media Award after domestic abuse campaign

Judges believe a Bury St Edmunds marketing firm’s domestic abuse campaign drove meaningful change as they handed it an award.

The Handy Marketing Company took home the Best Low Budget Campaign at the 2025 UK Social Media Campaign Awards at London Hilton Bankside last Wednesday.

The campaign was highlighted as a standout entry as judges praised the team’s ability to deliver on a low budget.

Their use of data was exceptional, they added, and believed it could drive real change, with several firms signing up for training or policy downloads.

The campaign came as part of Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, marked throughout October and was created alongside the organisation, Domestic Abuse Education (DAE).

Clair Bryant, founder of the Handy Marketing Company, said: “This award is incredibly meaningful, not just because it recognises great marketing, but because it highlights an issue that affects so many.

“Working with Sharon and Domestic Abuse Education has shown how strategic communication can create awareness, compassion, and real workplace change, even on the tightest of budgets.”

Sharon Livermore, from DAE, said the company took its message and made it resonate.

“They brought empathy, creativity, and professionalism, helping us reach organisations across the UK and drive genuine action,” she added.
