Coronavirus: Bury St Edmunds Marks and Spencer to dedicate first hour of trading on certain days to elderly and emergency workers




Marks and Spencer in Bury St Edmunds is to dedicate the first hour of trading on specific days to older and vulnerable residents as well as NHS and emergency workers.

The company which has a store in Butter Market will set aside the first hour for older and vulnerable customers from tomorrow (March 20) and then on Mondays and Thursdays.

For NHS and emergency workers, it will be on Tuesdays and Fridays.

In a statement, the company said: "We ask other customers to respect this request, as it's the kindness and support we show each other that will get us through this."

The Bury St Edmunds shop is open from 8am Monday to Saturday and from 10am on Sunday.
