Men arrested and bailed over Moreton Hall vandalism are released under investigation

Three men arrested and bailed after a spate of vandalism to cars on Moreton Hall in Bury St Edmunds in the early hours of September 29 have been released under investigation pending further inquiries.

The men, aged 24, 22 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and firearms offences after air weapons were seized.

Police received a number of calls from 1.10am on September 29 about cars being vandalised on the estate.

Officers discovered damage to the windows and bodywork of at least 10 cars, which appeared consistent with being shot at by an air weapon.

After a search of the area, the three men were detained in Skyliner Way and arrested just after 1.30am.

Three air weapons along with ammunition were also seized.
