Men charged for two armed robberies of Ickburgh petrol station within eight days of each other
A pair of men have been charged in connection with knifepoint robberies that happened within eight days of each other at a petrol station in Ickburgh.
It follows officers being called to the petrol station in Swaffham Road, at around 3.10pm on July 20 and just before 6.55pm on July 28, after shop workers were threatened both times with knives before money and cigarettes were stolen.
Mervyn Moulton, 49, of Woodcock Close, Haverhill, has subsequently been charged with four offences - robbery and possession of a knife or bladed article on July 20, and robbery and possession of a knife or bladed article on July 28.
Anthony Ferguson, of Woodcock Close, Haverhill, has also subsequently charged with robbery on July 28.
Moulton and Ferguson both appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court this morning and were remanded into custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on September 2.
