Halfords offers interviews to all ATS Euromaster staff following branch closures, including in Bury St Edmunds

A motoring retailer is offering interviews to all members of staff impacted by the recent closures of a competitor.

Halfords has stepped in to support workers affected by ATS Euromaster branches closing down, including in Bury St Edmunds which shut on March 1.

This follows ATS Euromaster’s decision to shut down 86 service centres across the UK — however, the branches in Newmarket, Haverhill and Ipswich remain open.

Leon Deehy, divisional director at Halfords, said: “We are pleased to be working in partnership with ATS to explore employment opportunities for affected colleagues, while also ensuring that motorists in this part of East Anglia continue to have access to competitive, convenient, and trusted automotive services.”

Halfords is helping ATS customers by prioritising MOT and service bookings originally made at the closing branches, ensuring vehicle owners are not left without essential services.

The motoring retailer is also offering training in EV servicing for qualified technicians and apprenticeships for young people entering the automotive industry.
