Motorcyclist taken to hospital after A14 collision at Stowupland




A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a collision on the A14 at Stowupland.

Police were called just after 11.15am to reports of a single vehicle crash involving a motorbike at the top of the eastbound on-slip of the A14 with the A1120 junction.

The East of England Ambulance Service was called shortly before 11.20am to the incident.

An ambulance and three rapid response cars attended as well as the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The motorcyclist was taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance for further care with injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said the entire eastbound carriageway was closed initially, before being reduced down to just lane one and the on-slip – both of which remained closed until 12.35pm.
