Motorists are being warned to plan ahead for their journeys due to a crash involving an overturned 44 tonne lorry on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds.

The A14 eastbound exit slip at junction 45 at Blackthorpe is closed due to the incident.

Police were alerted just before 1pm and Highways England has urged drivers to find alternative routes.

Fuel has also spilled onto the road.

The ambulance service has been called.

The road is expected to be cleared between 4.45pm and 5pm.

It's the second crash police have been called to on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds today.

Officers were called to a crash involving a motorbike at 10.20am, which led to five miles of queuing traffic. Read more here.
