Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket MP Jo Churchill praises 'supportive and caring culture' at BUUK Infrastructure
An energy infrastructure company hosted MP Jo Churchill at its Woolpit headquarters as it celebrated winning Great Place to Work accreditation.
BUUK Infrastructure, an independent energy distribution and utility infrastructure network constructor and operator, has achieved accreditation for the second year for Best Workplaces for Wellbeing under the super large organisations category.
The scheme is administered by Great Place to Work, which celebrates positive workplace culture around the world.
Over the last three years, BUUK has trained 53 Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs) from within its business units to offer crucial help and support to those who may need it.
The BUUK team spoke to Mrs Churchill, the Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket MP, about the ‘fantastic’ work the company is doing in the area of worker health.
The MP met several of the MHFAs based out of the Suffolk office and presented four of them with certification recognising their invaluable contribution to the workforce.
She said: “It is great to see companies like BUUK creating a supportive and caring culture among colleagues through the provision of essential mental health and wellbeing programmes.”
She said the MHFA programme made it ‘a great company to work for’.
