Multiple fire crews from Bury St Edmunds called to reports of blaze in garden in Kingshall Street, Rougham




Multiple fire crews were called to reports of a blaze coming from a garden in a Suffolk village this morning.

Firefighters were called at 10.04am to the incident in Kingshall Street, Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds.

Upon arrival, crews discovered the smoke was coming from a large amount of rubbish that was alight in the garden.

The rubbish, which included several tyres, has been extinguished and firefighters left the scene at 11.33 after carrying out hotspotting

Crews have fitted fire alarms in the property and have given the occupant safety leaflets and advice.

Three engines from Bury attended the incident.
