A mum of three is determined to spread some festive cheer this year.

Hayley Peters owner of online boutique Ivy Joan and organiser of The Little Makers Market in Bury St Edmunds has planned a four day Christmas market.

The four-day event which usually runs alongside the Bury St Edmunds Christmas market will begin with late night shopping on Thursday and will run until Sunday at the Unitarian Meeting House in the town.

"Christmas cannot be cancelled again, our customers deserve the chance to shop independent this year and our traders have got to get back to business," said Hayley.

Around 45 different local businesses are expected to take part in the event throughout its duration.

The event coincides with the Not On The High Street founder MBE Holly Tucker's Colourful Friday campaign encouraging shoppers to look for independent alternatives over the Black Friday sales.
