Icklingham mum-of-three opens Little Woodworms in Bury St Edmunds’ Churchgate Street

A new children’s play business in Bury St Edmunds had its opening day last weekend and its owner has exciting plans for the future.

Kelly White from Icklingham, near Mildenhall, opened Little Woodworms in Churchgate Street on Sunday, June 4.

The premises has stood empty for over three years, having previously been Vanilla Hair Salon and Spa. But now Kelly is giving it a new lease of life. She has redecorated the front and will have an artist paint a mural inside.

On opening she said: “I love it. I had four mums in with their kids and it’s so nice for them to be here and chat while their children play. It was lovely.”

The new space features all wooden play equipment such as a wooden café, hairdressers, house and doctors’ surgery to encourage role play. There is also a sensory room, reading space and a café area for parents to grab a hot drink and a piece of cake.
