Rougham Primary School unveils pupils' floral garden mural
Staff and pupils at Rougham Primary School celebrated the unveiling of a floral mural last Wednesday, which was made as part of the Young Green Fingers scheme, run by Bury in Bloom.
Mayor Terry Clements and his wife Vivienne also came along to see the mural, which was created using specially made stencils of different flower types and paints.
Adrian Grenville, a support worker at the school who led the project, said: "I think it was a very good project for the children. It boosted their self esteem, they became bright, positive and cheerful. They did very well working in teams and with something they're not very familiar with. It all went very well.
The school is now arranging for the mural to go on a small tour before being permanently installed in the school's garden.
Preparations are being made to see it showcased in various locations in Rougham and Bury St Edmunds, including Rougham churches and The Apex.
