Thetford Ancient House Museum closes as staff self-isolate due to contact with Covid-19 case

A Thetford museum has been forced to shut after staff came into contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement on its website, the Ancient House Museum of Thetford Life, in White Hart Street, said it has had to temporarily shut as of today.

It said: "This is due to a number of our staff having to self-isolate following close contact with a positive Covid-19 case.

"All those affected will begin self-isolating for the required period to reduce the risk of further spread."

The museum will contact all of those who have booked to visit to offer a full refund or an alternative date.

It hopes to reopen from Tuesday, August 17.
